Kampala — The state minister for Sports Charles Bakabulindi is investigating alleged cases of sodomy in the football sport.
This follows allegations that Horizon football Club Coach Charles Ayeko attempted to sodomize Isaac Omalla recently during the Inter Region tournament in Lira.
Any football player,coach and official involved in the vice shall be banned from the sport, Bakabulindi assures .
Communication to the executive of the Federation of Uganda Foot Ball Association over the matter has been made, the minister says.
He tells vision voice that action will be taken after the investigations are complete.
Bakabulindi cautioned school teachers to be mindful of the sodomy in schools. He is concerned that such cases are now rampant in schools.
The practice if not dealt with could affect the sports, Bakabulindi notes.
