Nigeria: Standard Chartered Launches Diva Club Account for Women

Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria Limited has launched the Diva Club - a networking platform for women under the umbrella of the bank's innovative women's product Diva Club Account.

The formal launching was done at an event tagged "An Evening with a Diva" held at the prestigious Oriental Hotel, Lekki. It was an exquisite evening of wining/dining, music, motivational talks and entertainment. The event had in attendance women from diverse backgrounds, Diva account holders and non-account holders, all with a common objective - to celebrate womanhood.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Christopher Knight, MD/CEO Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria said: "At Standard Chartered Bank, we consistently strive to provide products that add value to our customers and symbolize our brand promise -The Right Partner. Diva Club Account is one such product that restates our commitment to being the right partner to our customer segments. Since I arrived Nigeria in 2007, the energy, drive, resourcefulness and fashion sense of the Nigerian woman have underscored the uniqueness of this segment and the need to properly recognize their needs."

Speaking about the Diva Club Account, Mrs. Ijeoma Anusionwu, VSGM Consumer Transaction Banking/Wealth Management, Standard Chartered Bank said; The Diva Club Account is an account that is tailor made to suit the lifestyle of the modern woman catering to their peculiar banking and lifestyle needs."

Mrs. Anusionwu further stated: "Diva account holders have access to a bundle of banking and lifestyle benefits including COT free naira accounts, customized local and international debit cards (Vpay and Visa), discounts at a network of lifestyle partner outlets and automatic membership of the Diva Club - a networking platform that brings together like-minded women from diverse backgrounds to share experiences and open up potential areas of partnership and collaboration."
