Ghana: NSC Boss Spits Fire

The Acting Chief Executive of the National Sorts Council (NSC) Mr. Worlanyo Agrah has cautioned chairmen and members of the various associations to be up and doing in their responsibilities.

Speaking at the inauguration of the reconstituted national sports associations in Accra yesterday, he noted that: "All are expected to attend meetings on regular basis, you have been appointed for specific assignments, and anything short of that will not be countenanced."

He urged them to go all out as the Council strives to change the phase of the country's sports for the better. The jam-packed inauguration ceremony saw some new faces replacing some old ones while others retained the chairmanship and secretary positions.

The reconstitution of the various bodies was necessitated by the downward trend of Ghana sports at the Olympics in recent years.
