Eritrea: Nationals Residing in Nairobi Take Responsibility to Support Martyrs' Families

Asmara — In line with the initiatives being taken by Eritrean nationals abroad to support families of martyrs, a total of 30 Eritrean citizens residing in Nairobi, Kenya, take responsibility of assisting 35 families of fallen heroes.

They took such an initiation during a commemorative event held in connection with June 20th Martyrs' day, and called on other Eritreans nationals to emulate their initiatives.

Also during the event, over USD 2,000 was donated to augment the Martyr's Trust Fund, according to reports.

Speaking on the occasion, the Eritrean ambassador to Kenya, Mr. Saleh Omer, lauded the nationals for taken the initiatives and stated that the martyrs' trust is honored through reinforcing national unity and assisting families of martyrs.
