Kampala — Despite his previous legal troubles, Ugandan music has remained close to the heart of Sydney-based cardiologist, Aggrey Kiyingi. The good doctor surprised singer Chris Wajjadi and his fans at Calendar Guesthouse last Sunday when he bought the singer's CD at sh6m in cash.

Wajjadi's, an auto spare parts dealer in Ndeeba, was launching his latest album Mwe Mulimukintu.

Kiyingi, who was supposed to attend the show but missed his flight, sent the money through Lt. Sula Sserunjogi, the deputy RDC Wakiso District.

The seven-track album includes a song named after Dr Kiyingi, which details the heart specialist's court battles on murder charges of his wife Robinah Kiyingi a few years ago. He was acquitted.
