Luanda — The Angolan Cabinet Council will convene this Wednesday, in its fifth extraordinary session, in the Presidential Palace, in Luanda, under the chairmanship of President José Eduardo dos Santos.
In its last session, held on 24 June 2009, the Cabinet passed the National Geology Plan as a fundamental instrument for the definition of the development strategy in the mining sector.
At that gathering, it was also approved the Human Resources Development Plan of the Angolan Geologic Institute, as a way promote efficiency in that institution.
The Cabinet also approved the regulation on artisanal exploration of alluvium or secondary diamonds, without the use of industrial methods, as an activity that must be previously licensed by the Ministry of Geology and Mining.
