Rwanda: Rwamagana Crowned Goalball Champions

Kigali — RWAMAGANA have been crowned National Goalball champions. The team bettered their second spot finish in the first phase of the championship by winning the second and final phase which was held last Sunday at the National Paralympics Committee (NPC) - gymnasium at Amahoro.

After the second phase victory, Rwamagana amassed 28 points, five more that Huye who finished second. 2008 champions Gahini finished third with 17 points.

For the win, Rwamagana pocketed Rwf 60.000 and a trophy, while runners-up Huye and Gahini settled for Rwf 40.000 and Rwf 25.000 respectively.

Six clubs took part in the competition; Gahini, Rwamagana, KIE, Huye Abadahigwa and Nyarugenge.
