Somalia: MP Dies in Mogadishu

Mogadishu — Sharif Safi Robe, a Somali MP has died in Medina hospital in south of the Somali capital Mogadishu overnight, official told Shabelle radio On Wednesday.

Kadijo Mohamed Dirie, one of the ministers of the transitional cabinet confirmed the death of deceased Sharif Roble, as she was speaking in the 49th anniversary of Somali National Day first July (Lulyo) held in the presidential palace in Mogadishu which was while it took its independence and union of south and north regions of Somalia on 1st July 1960s.

The reason of the MP's death is yet unclear and he is the 4th Somali lawmaker dies in the Somali capital Mogadishu.

On 20th June, Engineer Hussein Mohamed Adow, A Somali MP was killed in Karan district in the north of Mogadishu as heavy fighting between government soldiers and the Islamist forces continued.
