Angola: National Photography Festival Starts

Menongue — Menongue District, in Kuando Kubango Province, hosts since Tuesday the first National Photography Festival, promoted by non governmental organisation Luz da Solidariedade, with the support of the province government.

According to Emmanuel Dias, the NGO executive co-ordinator, 30 youths from the 18 provinces of the country participate in the event.

He explained that during the festival every image portraying historic and cultural values, as well as others reflecting government actions, mainly of national reconstruction, will be considered and classified.

He also informed as part of the event, dubbed "Portrait and Heritage of our past", the objective conditions are created to continue with photography training.

This is the second National Festival that Kuando Kubango government organises in collaboration with the NGO Luz da Solidariedade.

The first one, which was about "Graffiti", took place in two districts of the province.
