The Coca Cola Bottling Company of Ghana Limited as part of its commitment to strengthen and promote the cultural heritage of the country has donated cash and a range of assorted drinks to support this years Brakatue Festival, celebrated by the people of Elmina. The week long festival, starts on the 7th and ends on the 12th July 2009.
The company made a cash donation of five hundred Ghana Cedis, thirty cases of assorted drinks, 50 branded "T" shirts and refreshment for clean up exercise as the company's contribution to fighting filth in the country.
Apart from its traditional range of products such as Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, Bonaqua mineral water and Burn, the Company also donated its new sensational fruit drink, Minute Maid, to the Traditional Council. Other packages include sponsorship for the Regatta -a boat racing event and the state dance party.
Mr. Francis Opoku, Sales Manager for Takoradi and Cape Coast, who presented the items to the traditional council indicated that celebrating culture and tradition was part of the bequest of Ghanaian communities and The Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Ghana Limited, was committed to promoting and preserving these cultural heritages.
The Chairman of the planning committee Nana Edu Amoa who received the items on behalf of the traditional council lauded the Coca-Cola for their support to help make this year Brakatue Festival a memorable one.
