Freetown — Swedish second division side, Motala AIF are hopeful of signing former Mighty Blackpool midfilder, Abu Tommy.

Tommy, who joined the Swedish outfit on trials last month, has been attractive since he started his tests and club manager Göran Ekh has already dubbed him as a fast and technical midfilder.

Ekh is hoping that the player will be the reinforcement his team has been craving for and that Tommy fits well in the squad.

"- Vi har fått goda vitsord om Tommy och nu ska vi titta på honom ordentligt under en tid, säger Maifs manager Göran Ekh.We have received good grades on Tommy, and now let's look at him properly for a time.- Vi vet väl inte riktigt än hur bra han är. We do not know quite yet how good he is.Han måste få en chans att vänja sig, precis som Koroma, säger Maifs tränare Fredrik Falkevall. He must be given a chance to become accustomed," said Motala AIF's coach Fredrik Falk Vallarta.

With his deisre to stay with the Swedish club, the former Mighty Blackpool skipper told MVT-game during Monday's workout at the stadium that, "Tommy Abu kan vara nästa Sierra Leone-import till Motala AIF:s fotbollslag.Jag skulle vara väldigt glad om jag fick spela här, säger han till MVT-sporten under måndagens träning på IdrottsparkeI would be very happy if I could play here. Tommy Abu är från Freetown precis som Ibrahim Koroma och de har spelat tillsammans i olika landslag i Sierra Leone.Motala är ett fint ställe och det är en bra klubb, säger Tommy Abu som var med i bussen till söndagens bortamatch mot Kristianstad där Maif förlorade med 0-3.Motala is a nice place and it is a good club. "

Tommy is now staying in the same apartment in Motala together with former Sierra Leone U-20 teammate, Ibrahim Koroma aka Marcel and Issa Tejah Thomas aka Oloh.
