Seaview crumbled at the hands of relegation bound Africell who squeezed themselves to the quarter-finals of the Gamtel sponsored FA Cup following a hard fought 1-0 victory at the East.
Seaview should have carried the day dominating and winning most chances in front of goal in what could have been a happy night, turned sour when Omar Jammeh stunned them in the 86th minute goal. An out-footed pass from Cherno Njie to Omar Jammeh who beat his rushing marker into the heart of the opponents' defence, as he puck the ball pass the goalkeeper.
A Seaview John Gomez well aimed header from a Mamut Saine cross deflected on an Africell defender giving mid-field maestro, Samisideen Badjie to slot just an inch wide the post.
The momentum of the game soon died down when Samsideen Badjue bundled Africell's Sainey Sambou who tried to work pass him giving the communication boys the chance to regain composure. Yaya Bayo executed the free-kick that went over the crossbar.
Seaview continued to knock on all doors for an equalizer with Mamut Saine coming close and when he fed striker john Gomez having only the goalkeeper to beat, thwarted the ball pass the goal mouth.
Substitution followed late in the game for Seaview but the chance for an equalizer was too slim in the 89th minute and the damage was already done.
