Tanzania: Young African Sign Six Internationals

Mainland Vodacom Premier League champions, Young Africans have recruited only six foreign players from 16 who attended week-long trials at Uhuru Stadium.

According to the list of the players that have been submitted to Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), the players are Moses Odhiambo (APR, Rwanda) and Kabongo Honore of DRC who was playing for Samsung Krham of Thailand.

The list also shows that only two local players have been recruited by the club ahead of the Vodacom Premier League starting on August 23. They are Nelson Kimathi, Tanzania Prisons goalkeeper and Temeke Combine who is also Sifa Politan defender, Bakari Mohamed Mbegu.

Abdulkharim Kamanzi, Cameroon goalie, Eteme and fast winger, Eric Kimanda from DRC have been dropped, according to the list released by TFF yesterday.

Young Africans traditional rivals, Simba Sports Club have recruited nine players for the 2009-2010 season. The players lists includes Salim Gilla from Polisi Dodoma, Amri Kiemba, Ramaadhani Haruna Shamte, Juma Kaseja (Free), Uhuru Suleiman (Mtibwa Sugar), Emmanuel Okwi ( SC Villa, Uganda), Owino Joseph (Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) and Hilary Echesa from Kenya.

Other teams, the new players and the team they come from in brackets are as follows:

Mtibwa Sugar: Pius Kisambale, Faustine Lukoo all from Moro United, Eric Majaliwa, Monja Liseki (Shaab Hadhamouny, Yemen) and Tanzanian player, Steven Mazanda who was playing for Lupopo FC of Democratic Republic of Congo ( DRC). Kagera Sugar is only required to submit a transfer of Diplomate Mustafa who was playing for Victor Club of Uganda.

Toto African: Laurent Mugia, Chesidyo Matthew, Mustapha Mabruki Mohamed (Villa Squad), Amani Isdori (Free), Dafa Raphael (Unga Limited, Arusha).

Philemon Mwasindile, Bantu Admin (Polisi Dodoma), Hussein Mataka, Juma Jafari, Athuman Kibalati, Laban Kambole, Jacob Masawe, Moses Lutandika, Mwalimu Kibwebwe (all free) and Semi Kessy (Polisi Morogoro).

JKT Ruvu are required to submit the transfer of Kisimba Luambano who was playing for African Lyon in the National League while Moro United is required to submit transfer certificates of Mahsen Bawazir from Arusha Stars, Rajab Mtanda ( Korosho SC) and Abubakari Mtiro from Young Africans.

African Lyon: Rashid Gumbo, (Mtibwa Sugar), Robert Ssentongo (KCC, Uganda), John Njenga Mbugua (Thika United FC, Kenya) and Castory Mumbara from Young Africans.

Azam FC: Aggrey Morice (Mafunzo, Zanzibar), Salum Swed (Mtibwa) and Christophe Ndayishimiye from Flamengo FC of Burundi.
