Festival goers prepare thyselves: this year’s music line-up is guaranteed to perforate eardrums.
With more than 40 live performances covering a wide and diverse range of genres, everyone will find something to their liking.
The hotspots for live music on the Fringe are the Cuervo Music Room, the Graham Hotel, Nombulelo Hall and the Bowling Club, which plays host to a selection of tribute shows.
This year’s programme includes prolific acoustic musicians Guy Buttery and Tony Cox, who both played and mesmerised audiences at Splashy Fen in Underberg this year.Guy Buttery says he loves it here and just keeps coming back.
Jesse Clegg will also be performing in the Cuervo Music Room. He recently released his debut album, When I Wake Up. The single, Today debuted at number 1 on the Highveld Homebrew Chart.
The Parlotones will be a treat for festival goers this year. Their shows are energetic and will make your endorphins run wild.
Dear Reader, previously known as Harris Tweed, returns to this part of the world. Their music is chilled and their vibe silly-fun. They are a group that never fail
to bring smiles to everyone in the crowd.
Afrikaans music lovers can see “voice of an angel” Nianell, who will be playing at the Cuervo Music Room. She is working on her fifth album, due to be released in October this year.
Steven Newman teams up with Greg Georgiades, Marc Duby and Ashish Joshi to form a breathtaking quartet. This is the second time they will be playing in Grahamstown. Guitar enthusiasts should not miss this collaboration.
