Luanda — Angola's National Assembly passed on Thursday here in generality the bills of revision of the State Budget and the national plan for 2009, Angop has earnt.
The two documents were approved with 141 votes in favour, zero against and19 abstentions during the 15th ordinary plenary meeting of the National Assembly.
The proposal of revision and the state budget for 2009 was presented in generality last Thursday in the National Assembly.
The proposal of revision of the state budget foresees fiscal incomes worth 1.615 billion Kwanzas, against the initially 2.371,5 billion Kwanza, as well as fiscal expenditures of 2,371,5 billion against 2.848 billion Kwanza of the first budget.
It includes a fiscal deficit of 756,3 billion Kwanza, that represents 15,2 per cent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), above the expected value of 448,7 that represents 7,7 per cent of the GDP.The budget foresees improvement of people living standards, through better public health conditions, access to basic sanitation and drinkable water, increasing of food production and fight against great endemic illnesses.
The meeting was chaired out by the Acting Parliament Speaker, João Lourenço, whereas the government team was headed by the Premier António Paluo Kassoma.
