Angola: Science, Technology Ministry Seeks France Staff Training Aid

Luanda — Angola's Minister of Science and Technology, Maria Cândida Teixeira, has called for the support of the French Government, for training of cadres in various areas of sciences and technologies, Angop has learnt.

According to the government official, who was speaking at the end of a meeting with France's ambassador to Angola, Francis Blondet, the intention is to provide national technicians with know-how in the areas of searching, agro-industrial, geophysics, among others.

"There are a lot of necessities in the sector of science and technology and taking into account the priority we think in asking for the collaboration of France to carry out our initiatives", she said.

In his turn, the French diplomat said "we have experience and knowledge that permit us helping the Angolans in this task. With the bilateral co-operation we will seek to facilitate the lives of the Angolans, giving them training".

According to the diplomat, it is necessary to guarantee the future of new generations and it is based on the professional training that we can give our contribution in this task of the Angolan government.
