Uganda: Kabale Trinity Wins District Athletics Event

Kabale Trinity College, on Wednesday, emerged the winners of the Kabale district Post-Primary Athletics Championship that attracted 15 secondary schools.

Kabale Trinity College lifted both the overall girls and boys trophies in the competitions held at Kabale district Main Stadium.

The school won the girls trophy with 169 points and it was followed by Bubaare Secondary School which tallied 76 points while Hornby High School secured the third position in the girls' category with 64 points.

In the boys' category, Kabale Trinity came in the first position with 178 points followed by Kigezi High School with 83 points while Kigata High consolidated the third position with 47 points.

Speaking at the end of the event, Kabale District Council Speaker Rev. Jack Katarishangwa pledged the district's commitment to supporting sports activities and urged parents and teachers to encourage the students to embrace sports.

A team of 20 athletes was selected to represent Kabale district at the National level in Gulu on July 8th.
