Massawa — The Minister of Justice, Ms. Fowzia Hashim, stressed the paramount importance of magistrate courts in preserving the cherished values of the society and promoting efficient administration of justice. The Minister made the remarks in a meeting she held in Massawa with judges, administrators of sub-zones and administrative areas in the Northern Red Sea region.
Noting that institutions of justice are working diligently not only in reinforcing social harmony but also backing up the national development drive, Ms. Fowzia indicated that solid ground has already been laid for more gratifying task accomplishments in the future.
The Minister further pointed out that the service being provided by magistrate courts in saving time and energy, besides settling disputes on the basis of mutual understanding and love is not to be viewed lightly. Stating that strengthening such courts would play major role in creating psychological welfare and enhancing economic development, she underlined the need for strengthening the activities of magistrate courts.
The participants on their part stressed the significance of such courts and asserted readiness to serve the public with diligence. They also call for organizing training course to upgrade their skills.
