Dr Joseph Onoh, speaking with reporters on the preparations for the father's burial yesterday, said all was set for his father's internment in spite of the disappointment by the state government.
Onoh Jnr said that arrangements had been concluded to ensure a hitch free and befitting burial for his late father, whom he described as a great achiever.
Onoh regretted that the Enugu government abandoned the family at the moment of need, preparatory to their father's burial, while commending the high level of commitment shown by other Governors of the South-East.
He said, "despite all the disappointment by the Enugu government, I can tell you we are ready to bury our father. We actually encountered hitches but things are perfectly in place now. Enugu government had planned to politically manipulate and frustrate our burial plans.
It is difficult to believe that work on the patching of potholes and removal of debris on the route to my father's compound just started few days ago and up till now, I am sure they have not made any contribution towards this event.
