The Gauteng Provincial Government recently branded buses and taxis using public transportation hubs for ease of recognition and in order to ease Confederations Cup traffic congestion.
Understanding the potential chaos an event of this nature can have on traffic and the need to provide excellent service on par with international standards, the Gauteng Provincial Government (GPG) decided to launch branded buses/taxis and public transportation hubs to move people to and from matches during the Confeds Cup. The idea was to alleviate traffic congestion by limiting the number of cars allowed in and around match areas by encouraging people to leave their cars at public transportation hubs in order to take a bus or taxi to the stadium. Comutanet was the company selected to brand just over 3000 vehicles in the initiative.
