Kampala — BLACKBERRY mobile phones are safe from tapping since the information is meant for only the sender and receiver, MTN's sales and customer service manager has said.

"The Government will not be able to access your confidential business information because on the Blackberry, it is only for the sender and the receiver," Stanely Henning stressed.

Henning was answering a question during a meeting for MTN's providers of Internet services at the Kampala Serena Hotel, recently.

The meeting was aimed at answering questions of MTN subscribers and presenting technologies like Wimax and General Pocket Radio Service (GPRS). â-‚

He said a Blackberry has multiple functions like carrying out business transacts, surfing the Internet, watching movies and instant messaging.
