Lagos — Flying Dove, the authorised distributor of Sony consumer electronics products in Nigeria, has commissioned two new, exclusive Sony Showrooms in Lagos.
Strategically located at the Palms Shopping Mall, the largest shopping mall in Lagos and Victoria Island, the new Sony Showrooms are easily accessible to consumers who will get a chance to experience the wide range of latest Sony products.
The opening of the new showrooms aligns with Flying Dove's expansion strategy to further enhance its position as the leading retailer in consumer electronics in Nigeria and to avail Nigerians the opportunity of having the best in digital technology.
Speaking at the commissioning of the new Sony showrooms, Mr. Kiyoshi Shikano, Senior Vice president, Sony Corporation, said the "Showrooms provide an interface with consumers and provides us an opportunity to showcase our latest product innovations. Opening these new showrooms reiterates our commitment to bring the latest technologies to the Nigerian market. We firmly believe that these new showrooms will enhance the qualitative development of the Sony brand in Nigeria."
Also speaking, ," Mr. Osamu Miura, Managing Director, Sony Gulf said Nigeria is an important emerging market for Sony, a launch pad to strengthen the Sony brand in the West African continent.
"With its vibrant economy, large population and ever increasing demand for sophisticated consumer electronics products, Nigeria presents a unique business proposition for Sony," .
Sony's flagship brand the BRAVIA LCD TVs is currently the highlight at the new showrooms. The extensive range, comprising of 35 different models of BRAVIA LCD TVs of varying screen sizes, feature the world's latest and best LCD technologies like Live Colour Creation and 200Hz Motionflow technology.
Apart from the BRAVIA LCD TV line-up, the new Sony showrooms will also house the latest products from other Sony categories like Cyber-shot Digital Still cameras, Handycam camcorders, Walkman portable music devices and Sony accessories.
