A division of the Emirates Group and the region's leading Destination Management Company, Arabian Adventures has appointed a new business development manager as part of its continued expansion programme.
According to C&F Porta Novelli, the PR consultant to Emirates in Nigeria , Denise Heckscher will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive business development strategy for the Groups and Incentives Unit at Arabian Adventures, covering Western and Northern Europe, Australia , New Zealand and the USA .
She will also develop the business in emerging meetings, incentives, conferences and events (MICE) markets.
An Australian national with over fifteen years of extensive experience across the travel and event management sectors, Ms Heckscher brings a wealth of knowledge and support to the Arabian Adventures team.
Her previous professional experience includes being the sales manager for the Globus Family of Brands for the Australian States of Victoria and Tasmania, and the hospitality events manager for Australia and New Zealand for IMG the world's largest sports marketing company.
She also worked for seven years in the international retail and business sales team at Qantas.
Commenting on her appointment, Frédéric Bardin, Senior Vice President, Arabian Adventures, said "Ms Heckscher is a fantastic addition to the company as we continue to broaden our knowledge and skills base. Despite the challenges created by the current economic climate there are still a number of significant opportunities out in the market place.
