Kano — The Chairman/CEO of Media Trust Limited, Malam Kabiru Yusuf yesterday assured that the newspapers would hit the street in good time for the reader when the Kano regional office commences full operation shortly.
Malam Kabiru spoke in Kano when he received the state Commissioner for Projects Monitoring and Evaluation, Alhaji Ibrahim Garba in the new office.
He said the installation of the machines would be completed within the next two weeks.
While expressing the hope that the operations would kick off before the end of the month, the chairman noted that it would take care of states that didn't have the opportunity of getting the papers on time.
"We are working towards ensuring that Trust becomes a morning paper across all parts of the nation. It will now be read in the North-west and North-east without any delay," he said.
Speaking earlier, Alhaji Garba urged state governors to support the media industry in Nigeria, noting that such support would foster a cordial relationship between them.
He assured Media Trust of government's support, patronage and cooperation, adding that building the regional press in Kano would afford the company greater patronage. The commissioner also urged the company to establish more production units in other regions of the country.
