Harare — Secretary for Constitutional and Parliamentary Affairs, Ms Margaret Chiduku, has died.
Ms Chiduku died yesterday morning.
In his condolence message to the Chiduku family, Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr Misheck Sibanda described her death as a great loss to the entire civil service.
"We are exceedingly saddened by this fateful occurrence, which has visited the Chiduku family and indeed Government as a whole, when she had just assumed her new responsibility as Secretary for Constitutional and Parliamentary Affairs.
"From the time she was director in the then Ministry of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs and during her short stint as head of her ministry, she displayed unique leadership qualities and demonstrated conscientiousness to duty," he said. Dr Sibanda said it was unfortunate that Ms Chiduku died before the inclusive Government had benefited from the full realisation of her great potential as senior Government official.
