Kigali — THERE was no change at the top of the national women league after convincing wins by reigning champions and league leaders APR and second placed AS Kigali.

APR put five goals past hapless Aspej at Mumena while AS Kigali thumped Les Lioness 6-0 to keep their hopes of a maiden league title alive.

Striker Claire Ngeneye scored her second hat-trick in as many weeks while Annet Nakimbugwe added a brace to leave APR cruising.

Yesterday's results mean that APR on 34 points still holds a five-point lead over AS Kigali, although the latter have two games in hand. Musanze are third with 27 points.

"We are not only scoring lots of goals, but also playing good football," APR coach Egidia Kayitesi said in a post-match interview.
