Lagos — It has been three weeks since Bayelsa United emerged the new champions of the Glo Premier League ,and Chief coach of the Bayelsa State side says, the feeling is still fresh. Coach Monday Odiga was happy when his team lifted the trophy in Oleh after a 2-2 scoreline with Warri Wolves.

"We prayed and prepared for this feat and we are champions at last and it feels wonderful. No one gave us any chance to win but we knew we had no choice other than to give it all we have got.

"We are very grateful to the management of the team, the state government and supporters. With the league trophy rapped up, its time to take on a bigger challenge-The CAF Champions League. I am confident that we can lift the trophy", he said.
