Nickson Turyahikayo

3 July 2009

Kampala — There was drama on Tuesday when a man only identified as Suleiman, was thrown out of a taxi after a passenger spotted bedbugs on his shirt. Passengers had earlier complained of his stench. When the taxi reached Nansana, a Kampala suburb, a woman boarded and sat next to the man.

Soon she started screaming after seeing a bed bug on the man's shirt, prompting the driver to stop and find out what the matter was. The woman explained and passengers threatened to abandon the taxi if Suleiman was not thrown out.

The conductor ordered him to get out of the taxi which he did without much fuss.
