Kampala — Officials at Entebbe municipality recently organised eating, anger and laughing competitions during the launch of the Nakiwogo Market. The deputy town clerk, Amon Muzoora, presided over the eating competition that was won by Esawo Malege, a farmer and dancer from Bussi Island.
Malege competed against Robert Mugyenyi, a fisherman from the same island. The two were given six big scones and one litre of soda to eat and drink in only five minutes. Sh20,000 was at stake for the winner.
Malege finished all the food in only four minutes! He also won the laughing competition, where he competed against Mugyenyi and Patrick Kayemba, a casual labourer, at Nakiwogo landing site.
The microfinance state minister, Ruth Nankabirwa, was the chief guest.
