Kampala — MIRACLE Eagles and Nkumba Marines continued their push for play-offs berth with victory in the MTN-FUBA league in Wandegeya on Friday.

Miracle outwitted Knight Riders 86-61 while Nkumba Marines defeated Ndejje Angels 63-60.

Miracle captain Boniface Okello scored a game high 23 points while his teammates Yahaya Kamulegeya and Solomon Ssali registered 14 points each as Miracle raced to victory in the basketball show.

Jimmy Enabu and Rogers Odiama had 14 and 19 points respectively for the Riders.

Okello is optimistic the club will maintain their push for a place in the play-offs. "We are not ready to miss the play offs for the second time in a row," Okello explained.

"We need to go and iron out our mistakes, get wins in our remaining fixtures against Marines and Warriors." Marines coach Timothy Odeke is also confident his players will end the first round still in pursuit of play-offs qualification.

Miracle will return to action against Nkumba on Friday. The first round matches will end later this month.
