Kampala — THE suspended Bunamwaya coach Jackson Mayanja has turned down an offer to return to Rwanda football club Kiyovu FC.
Mayanja, who believes he can still return to Uganda Super League side Bunamwaya, said the Kiyovu offer is out of the question. "I can't go out of the country now because I still have things to do," Mayanja remarked. "I hope to return to Bunamwaya."
The former international took the Kiyovu job from URA in 2004 but two years later, returned to the country to join KCC.
Mayanja crossed to Bunamwaya at the beginning of 2008/09 spurring the team to impressive wins. But he was suspended towards the end of the season after a run of poor results.
Mayanja's suspension paved the way for his assistant Edward Golola who engineered a series of wins for the side that eventually finished fourth overall in the Super League, domestic soccer's premier event.
