Kampala — There have been media stories about private security personnel conspiring with criminals against clients.
To counter such conspiracy, the Christian Guards (U) Limited has been born. It's a private security organisation based on Christian values. A pioneer group of 50 guards was passed out on Saturday at Kiwuliriza Primary School in Kisugu-Namuwongo in Kampala last week.
The guards who wear a white and green uniform include men and women, who have been trained by professional instructors, including pastors, according to the board of directors chairman, Peter Kimanje-Nsibambi.
A lawyer by profession, Kimanje-Nsibambi said the Christian Guards would make a difference. Since their firm focuses on customer care and human resource ability in electronic systems, Kimanje-Nsibambi said the Christian Guards had an administrative edge over other security companies.
"Our personality is Christian-oriented, trustworthiness, awake and sober armed men and women. We believe in consistent quality, value for money, perceptual company strength, mature and responsible service delivery," Kimanje-Nsibambi told the guests.
He said their mission is to promote right of ownership, protection of lives and property on the basis of Christianity.
Kimanje-Nsibambi said the guards would also provide services in corporate computer security (cyber surveillance), fraud detection and investigations, copyright product control, remote security surveillance and private detective services.
