Mbanza Kongo — The 6th congress of Angola's ruling MPLA will reaffirm its unity, cohesion and stability, the party's first secretary in northern Zaire province, Pedro Sebastião, said saturday.

Addressing the 7th ordinary meeting of the party's provincial committee, Pedro Sebastião highlighted the patriotic spirit and determination shown by its members during last year parliamentary elections won by the MPLA, a victory that, he said, increase its responsabilities before the whole nation.

The meeting was attended by Afonso Van-Dunem "Mbinda" member of the politburo of the MPLA, which is organizing its 6th congress in December.
