Namibia: Top Score Seven-a-Side Decider This Weekend

3 July 2009

Windhoek — The Ramblers Sports Grounds in Windhoek this weekend will be the scene of this year's Top Score 7-A-Side tournament. There will be eight teams competing for the grand prize of N$10 000 when the festivities kick off at 14h00 on Saturday 4 July.

Excitement was in the air at the tournament's media launch in the capital this week. The eight remaining teams were represented in large numbers with rivalries being renewed off the pitch and fans being promised more fierce ones on it.

This year's road to the finals began with 70 corporate teams trying out their luck at the crown. This weekend, the number is down to eight and before it ends there will only be one team still standing.

The teams still in with a shot at glory and N$10 000 are MTC, Spes Bona, Nedbank, Plascon, Standard Bank, Game, Top Score and Namcor.
