Angola: 4 De Fevereiro's New International Terminal Inaugurated

4 July 2009

Luanda — The new international terminal of 4 de Fevereiro airport (terminal number 02), whose construction works lasted five months, was inaugurated Saturday jointly by the minister of Planning, Ana Dias Lourenco, and the governor of Luanda Province, Francisca do Espírito Santo.

Henceforth, the National Company for the Exploration of Airports and Air Navigation (ENANA) transfers to the new terminal, all services relating to the international disembark of passengers.

The undertaking is a copy of the previous project (terminal number 1) which currently is being rehabilitated, occupying an area of about 10,000 metres containing a passport check room (450 metres) furnished with 12 counters, against the 08 of the previous.

The new airport terminal, whose inauguration ceremony was attended by the minister of Transports, Augusto Tomás, the deputy minister of the sector, Carla Leitão Ribeiro, and by the vice-minister of Home Affairs, Eduardo Martins, represents an alternative to the main terminal, since it will enable ENANA to continue providing efficient services of assistance to passengers from international flights who disembark on 4 de Fevereiro Airport.
