Kigali — THE National University of Rwandan, NUR have missed out on the going World University Games in Belgrade-Serbia.
Albert Kayiranga, who is in charge of sports at NUR, cited lack of funds as the sole reason for shunning the games.
"We are not participating in the games because we could not raise the required budget," he said.
The games, which started on Wednesday are organised by the International University Sports Federation.
Over 142 countries are taking part in the event which climaxes next Saturday.
