Asmara — Eritrea Festival in the U.K is underway in London with a patriotic zeal under the theme: "Our Independent Path, Guarantee of Development."
The Festival was opened yesterday in the presence of Mr. Abdalla Jabir, Head of Organizational Affairs at the PFDJ, Mr. Tesfamichael Gerahtu, Eritrean Ambassador to the U.K, religious leaders and village elders, as well as Eritrean nationals from a number of British cities.
The chairman of the Mekete Committee, Dr. Bereket Fisehatsion, stated that the holding of the Festival attests to the existing strong attachment with the Homeland, besides being an occasion in which the noble values of the society is bequeathed to the young generation.
The 3-day Festival would feature various programs, in addition to conducting of a seminar by a high-level Eritrean government delegation.
