Luanda — The Angolan government guaranteed on Thursday that the goals and objectives of the reviewed national plan is to achieve the macro-economic stability and improvement of social conditions of citizens.
This was said by the Economy minister, Manuel Júnior, during the plenary of the National Assembly, which approved in its general terms, the projects of national plan review and the state budget for 2009.
With this revision, it continues with main goals and objectives in the fields of fighting against hunger, poverty and the economic growth for the implementation of the main tasks.
He reminded that in 2008 the rate of growth was 12,3 per cent, but according to what is proposed in 2009, the economy will grow at a rate of 6,2 per cent, a figure that the official considered respectful before the world economic and financial crisis.
The Angolan economic growth since 2006 was based on the non oil sector, which represents an important step in the diversification of the economy, a process which did not begin with the crisis.
