Nairobi — The school curriculum will be reviewed to make it more responsive to the needs of society, Education minister Sam Ongeri says.
In a speech read on his behalf by Assistant minister Calist Mwatela at the close of the secondary heads' association's meeting in Mombasa, Prof Ongeri said the current curriculum was rigid with limited choices to individual interests and talents.
"The system produces skills that do not fully relate to prospects for gainful employment, entrepreneurship and practical skills," he said in a speech read on his behalf by education assistant minister Calist Mwatela at the close of Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association in Mombasa.
