THE Ndola City Council yesterday emerged the overall winner in the local exhibition at the Zambia International Trade Fair (ZITF).
The council was also winner in the best exhibitor in the category of service organisations.
The international best display and exhibitor went to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) that went away with a trophy.
Kenya was the second and that the display was remarked as splendid, particularly in the tourism section.
Masters of ceremonies, Mumbuna Kufekisa announced that South Africa got the third position in the international category.
The most innovative in the small-scale category was Makala Banda while the chairman's award went to the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA).
In the information and communication technology (ITC) category, ZAMTEL came out first.
ZAMTEL public relations manager Charles Kachikoti said later in an interview that even with what the firm was going through, there was commitment on the part of management to do well.
Mr Kachikoti said his company would endeavor to do its best to serve its clients.
ZANACO emerged as the winner in the private financial sector while Zambia Postal Services (ZAMPOST) got the public service financial award.
