Cabinda — Angola's Minister Without Portfolio, António Bento Bembe, and responsible in matters of human rights, said that there are not human rights violations in prisons and other localities of the northern Cabinda province, Angop has learnt.
The government official considered as false and groundless information reported by certain organisations, that allege constant violation of human rights in Cabinda, mainly over detainees and condemned people located there.
"These people that report these dishonest and fake facts want to pass their messages that do not please the citizens and we feel it within the communities when we talk to them", he explained.
The minister visited two local prisons and met with officials dealing in human rights issues, from whom he received information on non-existence of violations, as well as with chieftains that passed the same opinion.
António Bento Bembe got back on Friday morning to Luanda.
