3 July 2009

Luanda — The director for America of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Balbina da Silva, said Thursday, during the official ceremony to celebrate the 233rd anniversary of the USA independence, that both countries have developed a great work to increment cooperation in several sectors.

The diplomat referred that the proof of that fact was the recent trading agreement "TIFA", signed by the two countries, which is going to enable cooperation to reach other areas besides the oil sector.

At the moment, she justified, the relations with the USA are good and were reinforced after the recent visit paid by the Angolan Foreign Affairs minister, Assunção dos Anjos, to the United States of America, last May.

Because of this reason, she added, there are good perspectives of both States to make the cooperation stronger in all areas of social life.

The official added that the Angolan diplomacy has been developed a great work, especially the Foreign Affairs minister, Assunção dos Anjos, for the dignifying of the Southern African country.
