Eritrea: Asmara Music School Graduates Students in Diploma And Certificate

Asmara — A total of 8 students graduated yesterday in diploma and certificate from the Asmara Music School upon completion of a 3 to 4 year-long course in different musical instruments, including sax, piano, violin and various types of trumpet, as well as sound system.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony at the Eritro-German Hall, the director of the school, Mr. Elias Woldegebreal, stressed the significance of learning music as a science and arts, and called on the graduates to make due contribution in the development of the nation's music industry.

Noting that the number of students enrolling in the school is increasing from time to time, he indicated that vigorous efforts are being made to upgrade the quality of the music curriculum.

Likewise, Mr. Negasi Gebredingl from the Ministry of Education pointed out that relentless endeavors are being exerted to promote the Asmara Music School to the college level and called on the graduates to deepen their skills, and thereby seize the opportunities. The school is graduating students for the 5th time.
