Luanda — The minister of Transports, Augusto Tomás, said Saturday in Luanda that the Angolan government is expecting for the decision of security commission of the European Union (EU) which will decide on withdrawing the Angolan state-owned airline company TAAG from the list of air companies prohibited banned from flying in Europe.
Augusto Tomás spoke on the fringes of the inauguration ceremony of the new international exit terminal number 2 of the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport.
"We only wait for the confirmation of this fact from the UE experts so that airplanes like TAAG can resume flights to the European continent", asserted the minister.
The European commission placed TAAG in July 2007 on a list of airline companies prohibited from making flights to Europe.
Since the ban the Angolan airliner has hired the services of the South African company SAA and others to fly to Europe.
