Angola: Basketballer Best Rebounder of Under-19 World Cup

Luanda — With 14 rebounds, the power forward of the Angolan under-19 basketball team, Miguel Kiala, tops the list of rebounders of the World Cup of the category entering the second phase of the competition, according to statistics of the organising body.

With 1,98 metres tall and 19 years of age, the Angolan is closely followed by the Iranian Arsalan Kazemi, who has 13 rebounds.

Miguel Kiala is also the best Angolan shooter with an average of 12 points per game in this championship in which the players of Coach Carlos Dinis obtained their first victory in four games.

Angola beat Iran this Monday morning by 62-53 for the 13th and 16th positions, after having lost in the groups phase against the national squads of Lithuania (104-46), Greece (101-58) and Porto Rico (86-49).

Angola's next encounter shall be against the host team, New Zealand.
