Angola: Huila Government Prioritises Socio-Economic Projects in Chipindo

Lubango — The governor of the southern Huila Province, Isaac dos Anjos, said last Saturday that his executive will prioritise, in the ambit of the 2009/2010 budget, projects turned to the rehabilitation of socio-economic infrastructures in Chipindo Municipality.

The head of Huila Province's executive, who was speaking at a meeting with members of Chipindo Municipality Council, informed that in his economic strategy, the provincial government will implement programmes that aim at the improvement of social and economic situation of the mentioned municipality.

Isaac dos Anjos revealed that initially it will be rehabilitated the roads of access to the municipality, which lead to the localities of Kuvango and Caconda in the central Huambo Province.

The governor also disclosed that a plan has already been elaborated aiming to repair infrastructures like schools, medical centres, roads and communication means, whose implementation depends on the money to be received in the ambit of the State Budget.

"We'll do everything so that this municipality can have a different face and wipe off the image of war that devastated the country (...)".
