Luanda — Football will have a special treatment for the London - 2012 Olympic Games under the prioritisation of sports disciplines, reads a study conducted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, currently submitted for gathering of contributions from federations by September 2009, Angop has learnt.
According to the document presented to the higher council of sports held recently in Huambo, football will have an automatic priority as it is an important "factor of national unity".
The proposal says its "social, sports, economic and political relevance" that continues making football an important "factor of national unity", as well as the fact that it is the modality that creates greater jobs and the number of teams.
According to the study, the main modalities are football, followed by handball, basketball, swimming, athletics and chess.
