Luanda — The national police have been taking advantage of the "Girabola" games to test the staff, amid the organisation of the African Cup of Nations CAN 2010 in football, Angop learnt from the officer in charge of Cabinda city, commissioner António Candela.
For the lack of big competitions in Cabinda, the corporation has been tested through the National Championship game (Girabola), said the police high-raking officer, during the visit by CAF delegation to Cabinda.
"We always take advantage of Girabola matches where there is high turn out of supporters, in order to gain experience", underlined the officer, who is expected, between August and September, in England to watch the local championship's games and learn the security system.
The northern Cabinda province counts on 3,470 police staff to secure the African Cup of Nations (CAN 2010) to be held on 10-31 January in Angola.
He also explained that at the moment is in progress the first phase of staff training set to end late July.
