THE highly anticipated boxing bonanza by Dolph No Limit Boxing Promotions was reduced to a low-key affair, after several boxers failed medical tests ahead of their fights on Saturday night.

Three unspecified boxers, who were billed to fight in international bouts, failed the medicals - prompting organisers to turn some of the fights into exhibition matches.

Organisers also decided to introduce two amateur fights, while the main fight featured two different boxers.

Joseph 'Smoky' Hilongwa was supposed to square-up against South Africa's Mhuleki Zola in a flyweight bout, but he instead fought his Namibian counterpart Gottlieb Ndokosho in a welterweight fight. Their fight was declared a draw.

In the main fight, Zimbabwe's Charles Munyuchi, produced a sparkling performance to win on majority decision, after he comprehensively peppered Namibia´s Edison Kandukwa.

The Zimbabwean welterweight boxer extended his wins to five from five fights, while Kandukwa, who was given little room to stamp his authority, added another defeat to his record, making it two losses from three fights.

In other bouts, Tommy Nakashimba won against Samuel Kapapu on a unanimous decision in the junior lightweight encounter.

Nakashimba now has four wins from seven fights and three losses, while Kapapu suffered his fourth defeat from the similar amount of fights.

In the bantamweight category, David Iita failed to go past Matheus Kandala as both were on their pro-debut.

Kandala won on points after the judges scored 37-39, 38-38 and 38-39 in his favour.

For the amateurs, Sebi Simon was declared the winner on points over Lucky Handivale, while Anthony Jarman was declared the winner by disqualification over Lucas Ndamufola.

In an exhibition fight, Gottliebb Shileka was named as the winner by majority decision in a rather casual fight against Daniel ´Open Fire´ Kashela.
