Uganda: Smack Dominates Schools Rugby Gala

Kampala — THE Coca Cola-sponsored schools rugby sevens tournament ended on Sunday at Kampala club with St.Mary's College Kisubi (SMACK) wining all the boys titles.

In the main cup final, a late conversion by Steven Kasozi gave SMACK a 12-10 victory over hard fighting King's College Budo.

Budo led the first half 10-0 courtesy of Paul Omona and Philip Lasu's tries but SMACK dominated the second half and got two tries through Patrick Sonzi and Daniel Mugambi to level the score before Kasozi's conversion sealed the fate.

SMACK 'B' eliminated giants Namilyango College 7-0 win in quarter-finals and went on to beat St.Lawrence Creamland Campus by the same score in the plate cup final.

In the girls' category, Swallaha Mohammed and Stella Akello scored a try and a conversion respectively for Rangers Academy to emerge 7-0 victors against St. Catherine of Lira.

Overall Winner: SMACK

MVP: Malon Ondyege (Hana Mixed)
